Owiny Milton’s Transformation through Participatory Integrated Planning (PIP)

Owiny Milton transformed his family’s future in Uganda through Share An Opportunity’s PIP training. By replacing alcohol-fueled conflict with joint family planning, he and his wife strategically invested in livestock and modern farming. This collaborative shift enabled them to build a permanent home, secure a motorcycle, and prioritize their children’s secondary and higher education. Today, Owiny’s household serves as a model of unity and sustainable growth for his entire community.

SAO gives out 2000 birds to 400 families in Abim

With support from Help a Child, Share An Opportunity Uganda (SAO U) distributed 2,000 Kuroiler chickens (1,600 hens and 400 cocks) to 400 vulnerable households in Awach and Lotuke sub-counties, Abim District, to improve nutrition, food security, and household incomes. Before the distribution, beneficiaries received training in poultry management, while SAO also vaccinated over 5,000 existing birds to prevent disease and ensure the success of the initiative.
